The Darkness That Taught Me to See

In 2009, my world collapsed in a single night. I woke up and found myself in complete darkness—my vision was gone. Acute glaucoma had stolen my sight, and the doctors said it was irreversible. For 40 days, I lived in that darkness, filled with fear and despair. Nothing made sense. Despite having access to money and the best medical care, I was helpless. I felt as if the walls around me were closing in.
In those days of despair, I turned inward. I surrendered completely to the divine because there was nothing else I could do. I cried, prayed, and let go of all control. I trusted, not because I was strong, but because I had no choice. And then, on the 40th day, something miraculous happened—my vision returned. It wasn’t science, nor was it luck. It was grace. That experience taught me that healing is not something we can buy or control—it is a gift from the divine, one that comes when we surrender completely
